The promotion of migrant savings and alternative investment in Nepal (PMSAI) project was the first of its kind in Nepal. Its objective was to promote remittance services and unemployment insurance products through community based MFIs. The unemployment insurance product was linked to remittance service in terms of the management of risk of migrant workers being unemployed during and after the employment period.
