Training of Trainers on Poverty Probability Index(PPI) at Ithari

At the request of Sambreddhi, a Project funded by Nepal Government and IFAD for promotion of rural enterprises and remittance, CMF/N designed and delivered from June 19 to 21 a three-day training of trainers program on " Poverty Probability Index (PPI)" at Itahari for the senior officers of the Project. The training focused on poverty probability index that has been developed for targeting and measuring the economic status of project beneficiaries at the household level. PPI is an easy scorecard to measure the various diminutions of poverty and empowerment of target beneficiaries, and is recommended for those organizations which are working with the poor for their economic empowerment. Muktinath Bikas Bank and Nirdhan Utthan Laghubitta Bittaya Sanstha are applying this tool for measuring the poverty of their clients.

Mr. Naresh Nepal and Mr. Krishna Hari Baral facilitated the training sessions. Altogether 19 participants, three females included, took part in the training.
