Social Performance Reporting Training
The Social Performance Reporting Training was organized on the base of previous Awareness Raising Workshop. As the MFIs participating in the awareness raising workshops had committed for participation in social performance promotion in their institution and they had made action to select a focal person for social performance in their institutions, the focal person from the MFIs were participated this workshop. There were a total of 21 participants from 20 MFIs.
The two day training were divided into six technical sessions with one introductory, one previous day review and one closing sessions. The introduction session on the first day was started with registration and introduction of participants with their knowledge on social performance. Mr. Tejhari Ghimire, Team Leader of the project and Chief Executive Officer of CMF, had introduced CMF, the project and the training objectives.
The technical session was started with introduction on social performance by Senior Trainer Mr. Shiva Hari Devkota followed by session on Universal Standard of Social Performance by Project Coordinator Mr. Jagadish Babu Tiwari and the last session on Social performance standard reporting by Senior Trainer Mr. Naresh Nepal.
The second day sessions were started with review on the previous day summary. The next sessions were on practical on MIX profile form, Social Performance and Financial Performance Forms by Mr. Devkota, Mr. Tiwari and Mr. Nepal respectively. The participants have filled their individual forms so far they had information asked in the questionnaire. At the end session of the training, the participants have made action plans to share the learning in their institutions, finalize filling the MIX formats, identifying the potential sectors needed to be reviewed for better social performance and also on starting changes in SP activities based on the gaps identified. They were asked to provide suitable dates for these activities but they favored a common plan and decided the same dates.
At the end of the training the participants had evaluated the training in terms of duration, training contents, training methods and training organization. The result of the evaluation indicates that the training length were short while the training contents, methods and training organization were liked by the participants.
